Bald Eagle Action at the Flooding

You just never know what kind of wildlife you'll come across in northern Michigan. Going out to see one specific bird or animal ends up being an experience as you come back with photos of something else.

I was never so surprised to see this pair of Bald Eagles looking as if they were making a nest on a stump in Reedsburg's flooding. Due west of the boat launch, this feathered couple seemed to be fishing as well as hanging out and enjoying one another's company.

The two hung out all morning on this stump, taking turns jumping in the water to catch a mid morning snack. The picture below makes me think they are indeed a couple.

What do you think?

Thanks for stopping by!
